Smart Parking Standard: Closed-Loop Linkage Between Ticket Dispenser and Barrier Gate Ensures Efficient Vehicle Access

With the continuous advancement of smart parking construction, the closed-loop linkage process between ticket dispensers and barrier gates is becoming a standard configuration for entrance and exit management. Through interconnected stages of vehicle detection, information exchange, and verification, this process ensures that only authorized vehicles can pass, effectively improving both traffic efficiency and management standards at parking facilities.

Vehicle Detection and Activation: Automatic Sensing with Proactive Prompting

When a vehicle enters the entrance lane, the underground inductive loop detector (vehicle detector) first detects its presence and immediately triggers the ticket dispenser to enter working mode. The dispenser then prompts the driver to take a card or swipe a card via voice or screen, creating a smooth transition from vehicle arrival to driver action.

Information Exchange and Verification: Categorized Processing with Precise Validation

In the information exchange and verification stage, the process adopts differentiated handling based on vehicle type.

For temporary vehicles, after the driver presses the ticket dispensing button, the card/ticket issuing mechanism inside the dispenser activates and dispenses a card or paper barcode ticket containing information such as entry time and lane number. Simultaneously, the card reader built into the dispenser reads the information on the card, completing data collection.

For monthly/regular vehicles, the driver swipes their monthly card or membership card at the card reader area of the ticket box. The ticket box reads the card information, and the ticket dispenser uploads the read information to the parking management system (or local controller) for verification. The system then determines card validity, sufficient balance, and whether the parking space is full, thereby deciding whether to grant access.

Industry observers note that this closed-loop process organically connects vehicle detection, ticket dispensing, information reading, and back-end verification, safeguarding both the security and orderliness of vehicle access while delivering a more convenient and efficient parking experience for drivers. As smart parking technology continues to advance, this standardized process is expected to see broader adoption across more scenarios.
